For the 2021/22 season we have implemented a special subscription scheme to allow for the issues raised by Covid should we have to cancel rehearsals during the season.

Membership is £5 per rehearsal. The season will have 31 rehearsals, so a yearly fee of £155.

Payment can be via cash, cheque or electronic transfer and paid weekly to allow the cost to be spread over the season. It is optional to pay for any rehearsals you are unable to attend. However in normal circumstances members pay for the season, even if they are not taking part in a particular concert. Members joining part way through the year will be charged on a pro-rata basis.

Payment by Cheque:

Cheques should be made payable to Market Harborough Choral Society, (MHCS).

Please put name and choir section on the back.

Gift Aid:

As a Registered Charity under UK law, MHCS may reclaim the tax you have already paid on your membership and any other             donations under the Gift Aid Scheme. You can help MHCS increase its funds by signing a Gift Aid Declaration, but only if you             are a UK tax payer and will pay tax in the year for which you have paid your subscription.

How Gift Aid works:

Membership of MHCS is £155 per year. If you pay tax on any income, be it salary, investments, pension or other income, MHCS         can claim back from HM Revenue & Customs an additional £38.75 at no cost to you. This is because we can claim back the               income tax you have already paid to HMRC on the amount you pay to MHCS.

Each year we send a list of names and addresses and the amounts paid by members to HMRC. Once processed by HMRC we         are sent a cheque for what we have claimed. This money is then used to further the aims of the Choral Society.
