Celebration for Society

Market Harborough Choral Society will be giving a Celebration Concert on Saturday, May 30 at Welland Park College.

This is a particularly important occasion as the Society is celebrating its 25th birthday.

The concert will comprise of some of the choir's favourite songs and extracts from such gret works as Haydn's Creation, Vivaldi's Gloria and Rossini's Messe Solenelle.

These have been selected from the choir's repertoire over the last 25 years.  Four sole items will be performed by members of the choir.  The conductor will be Mr Harvey Taylor and piano accompaniment by Mrs Betty Whitelaw.

There will be a presentation by Mrs Marjorie Adcock to members who have been with the choir for 25 years. 

A buffet supper will be served after the concert at £1.50 per person.  Tickets are on sale at Market Harborough Building Society or from any member of the choir at £4.50 and £4 each or £3.50 and £3 for Senior Citizens and children.

This promises to be an extremely enjoyable evening for anyone who wishes to attend.
